Objects in a new light
During the fall of 2016, the collection staff carried out a large move of museum objects from one of our former warehouses at Kalmar Castle to Kalmar County Museum's new warehouse. What was moved were mainly large objects belonging to the categories of agriculture, building parts, handicrafts, vehicles and also several anchors.
In connection with the move, the items were sanitized and cleaned. They have since been successively inventoried, photographed and placed in storage rooms. The work involved a lot of challenges, mostly due to the large size of the objects. With the move, the objects have become available and after a lot of work, we can now proudly display them all here at Digitalt Museum.
