The history club
Are you between 8 and 16 years old and think history is fun and exciting? Then we think the History Club is something for you. Since 2018, the History Club at the museum has gathered young people interested in history for a multitude of fun activities. Join us too!
In the history club, you learn a lot about life in the past and now. We make study visits to interesting places, meet experts, participate in some of the museum's activities during school holidays, look at the museum's exhibitions and discover exciting things behind the scenes. We have also visited cemeteries, the museum's collections, visited the museum's conservators and much more!
Often we divide ourselves into two groups based on age. Leaders are Johan Thulin and Lars Larsson from the Kalmar county museum together with members from Kalmar City's Home Association.
The history club is possible thanks to a generous gift from the Tedde Jeansson family, Stockholm.
