Donate to the Cultural Heritage Fund

By donating a financial gift to the Cultural Heritage Fund, you contribute to us being able to continue telling the unique story of Kalmar County's past, present and future for current and future generations.

The fund's purpose and objectives

The purpose of the Cultural Heritage Fund is to manage the earmarked gifts and testamentary orders that the Kalmar County Museum Foundation receives. The purpose of the Cultural Heritage Fund is to enable financing of research, knowledge building, mediation and development of and around cultural heritage and cultural heritage sites in Kalmar County.

First million

The first goal is to build up an initial capital of one (1) million. Only then can the fund's return be used in accordance with the fund's purpose. The larger the fund becomes, the more we can do and further develop Kalmar County Museum's work in a way that would otherwise not have been possible. It is both about forward-looking development, but equally about the importance of successively and long-term building up capital. Only the return on capital may be used for the fund's purposes. The aim is for the fund to eventually reach a value of 50 million.

Contributions to the fund are made in a philanthropic spirit through gifts from companies, organizations and private individuals. So far, ten people and organizations have donated SEK 271,000 to the fund. We believe and hope that there are more people who want to give back to society and follow the initiative.
