The music at Kronan

How did the music sound in Kronan's time? Ensemble Mare Balticum is a group of classically trained musicians, specializing in early music up to and including the 17th century from the countries around the Baltic Sea (Mare Balticum). The ensemble was formed in 1989 and is part of Musik i Syd in Skåne. Since the 1980s, it has regularly collaborated with Kalmar County Museum and the Kronan project. An important part of the ensemble's repertoire are pieces of music from the royal ship Kronan's time, which are played on contemporary instruments.
