The winners of the photo competition Kalmar Picture of the Year 2021 will be chosen on 20 February

Sunday, February 20, 2022, it's time to announce the winners in the Kalmar Picture of the Year 2021 competition. Welcome to the award ceremony, which will take place in Restaurant & Café Ångkvarnen at the Kalmar county museum at 2 p.m.

At the same time, an exhibition will be opened at the museum with some of the submitted images. The exhibition includes the first prize winner, second prize winner, third prize winner, three pictures with honorable mention and 14 more pictures. The exhibition runs until March 20, 2022.

The competition for Kalmar Picture of the Year 2021 ended on 31 December. A total of 95 images were received. The jury convened on February 7, 2022 and reached a result. The jury consisted of 5 representatives from the Kalmar county museum and Kalmar city's local community association. The three winners are rewarded with honor, fame and that Kalmar city's local community association buys one or more pictures of the three winners. The association can also buy in other competition contributions.
