Jenny Nyström's Christmas table

Welcome to Jenny Nyström's Christmas table, which offers traditional flavors, local ingredients and a lovely atmosphere!

The Christmas table contains everything from classic dishes to cold cuts, specialities, surprises, yummy sweets and cheeses. Our fantastic chefs prepare all food from scratch with carefully selected ingredients, carefully prepared for the highest possible quality and taste. In the dining room you can enjoy a fantastic view of Kalmarsund and Jenny Nyström's art.

We welcome both companies and individuals to the table.

Book a Christmas table

Use the website form for the Christmas table you are interested in to send a booking request. You can also email to info@kalmarlansmuseum.se or call us on 0480-45 13 00.

Minimum number

To book a Christmas table in the evening, you need to be at least 30 people per sitting. If there are fewer of you, it may still be possible to book if we have other guests booked for the evening in question.

Salads/Vegetables

  • red cabbage
  • Brussels sprouts with pomegranate and honey from Allgunnen 
  • kale salad with kale from Solmarka farm with apple, lingonberry and orange
  • red cabbage salad with orange
  • mimosa salad
  • beetroot salad

Herring

  • homemade herring of various kinds (onion herring, apple herring, mustard herring)
  • embedded streaming

Cool

  • egg halves with prawns/seaweed roe
  • Christmas ham from Västerslät
  • baked liver pate

Sauces

  • butler sauce
  • mustard
  • herb sauce

Accessories

  • delicatessen crackers from Solmarka bakery
  • herb bread
  • christmas cheese

Slightly warm

  • Prince Sausage from Västerslät
  • minced meatballs from Mysinge and Västerslät
  • Locally produced ribs with orange, ginger and honey glaze.

Drinks are not included. We offer Jenny Nyström's Christmas must from Ängöl and locally produced beer from Skedemosse farm brewery on Öland. We also offer schnapps from, among other things, Kyrkeby bränneri in Vissefjärda. The coffee is from Balck Coffee and the milk from Solmarka farm.

  • Nothing is open to interpretation and the quiz leader's word is law!
  • Mobile phones, carrier pigeons and encyclopedias are strictly prohibited.

What do I need to participate?

  • A team consisting of 1-6 people. If you are a large group booking, you will divide into several teams. 
  • A good mood
  • Head on shaft
  • Do I need to have a PhD in history to stand a chance? Not at all! General questions are mixed with a little smarter for everyone's enjoyment! If you leave the evening without having been able to ask a question, we have failed.
