“Very good exhibitions! Both Kronan and Sandby were very interesting! Nice with dramatized displays.”

"Very Nice! Felt "exciting" throughout the building. Cool place. Also got a very good guided tour. Recommend!"

"Very pleasant and well-made exhibition that is equally fascinating for young and old alike. It is fascinating to see and experience the sinking of the regal ship Kronan and life on board. The children also have their own section where they can play when the seriousness becomes too much. Don't miss the cafe and restaurant at the top either. Really well-prepared home cooking with a generous salad buffet.”
Stefan Pettersson, Google, September 2022

"A visit to the county museum was the highlight of the days in Kalmar. The exhibition about the regal ship Kronan engaged both young and old. The play exhibition based on the Kronan for children was well done and well thought out with facts here and there that made it exciting for adults as well. We were guided by a young boatman who was fantastic at arousing the children's interest. The exhibition about Sandby Borg was also worth seeing. Also don't miss the lovely café with a view of Kalmarsund.”

"The ongoing exhibition about the ship Kronan is very interesting. The set-up with audio/visual features is very educational and interesting. The exhibition about Jenny Nyström also gave an insight into the life of an artist who is probably unknown to most people."
