Right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal is applied in accordance with the Act (2005: 59) on distance contracts and contracts outside business premises. Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal when purchasing products via the Website. If your purchase is for an item, the withdrawal period begins to run from the day after you receive the item. If your purchase is for a service, the withdrawal period begins to run from the day after the agreement is entered into and you have received an order confirmation. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are food or groceries that can deteriorate quickly. The right of withdrawal does not apply to cultural events. In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly and clearly notify Kalmar County Museum of this via e-mail or telephone before the withdrawal period has expired, contact information can be found here. You can use this form from the Swedish Consumer Agency to exercise the right of withdrawal, but you do not need to use the form to exercise your right of withdrawal. Refunds due to exercised right of withdrawal are made without undue delay and no later than within 14 days of you announcing that you regret, or in the case of an item after it has been returned. If you return an unused item with any associated labels and packaging, this must be done without undue delay and at least no later than 14 days from the time you invoked the right of withdrawal. If the quality of the product has been affected as a result of you as a customer having handled it more than is necessary to examine its properties or functions, a deduction on the refund corresponding to the product's depreciation may be made. You pay for the return yourself. Put the item in its original packaging (if any). It is important that you pack the product with an outer packaging so that the original packaging is protected, never stick the return label directly on the original packaging. Attach a copy of the order confirmation or similar where the order number and customer information appear. If that information is missing in the package, we can not see that the return comes from you. Always keep a receipt and shipment number that proves the return until the return is received by us. If you request to use your entrance ticket or other service before the withdrawal period has expired and the service is fulfilled completely before you have exercised your right of withdrawal, you agree that the right of withdrawal ceases in connection with the fulfillment. If you request to use your annual card or other service before the withdrawal period has expired and the service has only been partially completed when you exercise your right of withdrawal, you are entitled to a refund of the price less the amount corresponding to the value of the service used. This means that you will be obliged to pay full price for any visits you have already made during the right of withdrawal period.

Grounds for liberation

Neither you nor Kalmar County Museum is responsible for deficiencies in the performance of the agreement if the deficiency is due to a circumstance that is beyond the party's control ("Exemption basis"). Such a ground for exemption can e.g. be government action or omission, new or amended legislation, labor dispute, blockade, fire, natural disaster, major accident, war or terrorist attack, technical problems or other circumstances which significantly impede the party's performance of the agreement and which the party could not reasonably foresee or overcome . The reason for exemption for Kalmar County Museum is also considered the fact that a subcontractor to Kalmar County Museum is affected by a circumstance which, according to the above, is to be considered as grounds for exemption. A ground for exemption frees the invoking party from damages and other sanctions.
