Karl XV or in the popular dialect "Kron-Kalle", reign 1859-1872, worked in a changing time in many ways when Sweden received everything from representational reform to railways and complete freedom of business. How did the king react to all this and why did he become so popular with the broad masses of the people? These are questions that we will try to find answers to in today's lecture.
